You will need to advertise that you have a website otherwise few people are likely to visit.
When you advertise your home using the www.a-private-sale.com and sell it as a result of using that website, we will rebate these advertising costs up to a maximum of the commission due to us for use of System 2 (see Sellers page and Terms of Use). Just keep your receipts and dated originals of the adverts as proof of advertising.
Lineage advertising. The least costly form of advertising is likely to be a few lines (3, 4 or 5) in your local paper. Your website then does the real work of persuading potential buyers to contact you for an appointment to view your home. The press advertisement is there to sell your website not your house. Your press advert will include your web address and telephone number and a pointer or two to encourage readers to visit your website. You can go to town on your website with text and photographs to fully describe you house in your own way and in a way that newspapers, magazines and brochures might cost 100s and possibly 1000s of £s. Also remember, up to 80% of agent business is driven by enquiries that come from the Internet and this is a growing trend.
Display Advertising. Normally in a panel, often accompanied by a photograph, this kind of Press advertising can generally be expected to draw more enquiries but comes at a higher price.
National advertising. The national dailies or weekend newspaper supplements, such as the Home Supplement of the Sunday Times, again are more costly though lineage will help keep costs down. Advertising your website might be appropriate in publications such as Country Life.
Sale Boards can be purchased and these do produce more enquiries.
Group Advertising. Besides advertising in your local newspaper you might like to advertise in the property sections of national papers, quality publications and more widely on the Internet with such as Google. If sufficient numbers are interested some of these costs could be shared. Let me know if you are interested in joining such a group.
Networking. Most likely those viewing your house also have a house to sell. Tell these people that they may use our website or other strategies to help sell their property. Every new person you introduce to System 2, 'the a-private-sale.com' concept, is a potential new advertiser of the website and therefore of your property too.
